The Leaders in Life Youth Conference was started a decade ago with the goal of creating Kern County’s only conference specifically targeted to teens. Ten years later, it had grown into a multi-county youth conference planned specifically by youth. The youth behind the conference plan it all. From the speakers, to the workshops, to advertising, and to getting the media involved, the teens do it all. It truly is a conference for teens, by teens. ‘Can you hear our rising voices?’ is Leaders in Life’s theme. The youth planning members came up with this theme because they are sick of how teenagers are being treated in this day and age. Today’s teens are shown in a negative way, showing them as rude, immature or even ignorant of the world around them. The planning members are ready to take a stand and get their voices heard in a positive way. So, ‘Can you hear our rising voices?’

Interested in attending the 2015 Conference?

The Leaders in Life Youth Conference encourages all schools to participate in this fun, motivational, as well as, inspirational day. It is a day for teens to interact with other teens throughout Kern County and many other outlying counties. All middle school and high school students are welcome to attend. The conference consists of nationally ranked motivational speakers, interactive workshops, a resource fair, and the ability to walk away feeling as if they can make a difference in their life and the world. Leaders in Life is looking for students with an “untapped” leadership potential. The conference contains the power to change a young person’s life, so we encourage people of all different backgrounds to attend.
To give students the chance to get their voices heard.
